In today’s workforce, a long tenure can be rare. We’re particularly proud of one of our most loyal employees, Randy Smith, with close to three decades of service with Tiger. Randy originally began his career with Tiger as a propane driver for 20 years and then transitioned to TigerWash within the past 5 years. For Smith, his desire to interact with customers daily was more of a possibility on the car wash side. “I love welcoming customers to the wash. My wife says I don’t know a stranger, and with TigerWash, I get to have those customer interactions daily.”

 

With his recent promotion to Manager of the Ruckersville TigerWash, Smith is a man on a mission, ensuring operational excellence at each wash he visits. However, it’s not just about ensuring that all equipment is running properly. “I enjoy going up to customers after their wash and asking if everything went well and if they had a good wash. I let customers know that if they experienced any problems to let us know, so we can resolve the issue.” Smith’s keen ability to listen attentively and seek solutions helps drive a memorable wash experience for customers.

As a seasoned Tiger Fuel veteran, Smith is considered a father figure to the TigerWash crew. “I love it here. I never mind getting up and going to work in the morning. And that says a lot coming from someone who works 6 days a week.” Smith emphasizes, “Tiger has taken care of me throughout my time here. I’ve never had to worry in my time working for such an awesome, family-owned company. I would highly recommend Tiger as a place to work.”

Smith enjoys sinking his toes in the sand in Myrtle Beach and spending quality time with his wife, Jackie, and daughter, Samantha. Smith also enjoys landscaping his yard and tinkering with old vehicles. It seems his days of rest are few as he dedicates so much of his time to the TigerWash team and their customers.
