“The best part of my job is the customers. I love to make people laugh and have a good laugh myself,” said Glenn Lucas, a propane driver based out of Orange. While Lucas has only been with the Tiger Family since February, he has quickly become one of the most enthusiastic members of the team. Lucas was introduced to the fuel company through Charles Miller, one of Tiger’s top-performing drivers, who has been with the company for over 20 years. “Charles had a really big influence on me joining Tiger,” added Lucas.

Driving is in Lucas’ blood. Growing up, his father drove tractor trailers and at times, brought Lucas along for the ride. One of Lucas’ first jobs growing up required delivering groceries to customers. Although he enjoyed the customer interaction, Lucas wanted to drive something a little bit bigger. That day came years later when a previous coworker called in sick, offering him the opportunity to drive a 30-foot truck. “From then on, my heart was set on trucking,” said Lucas.

After reading his Bible before the sun rises, Lucas heads into work on his motorcycle, typically opening the plant before others arrive. Lucas is quick to brag on his wife of 37 years, tell stories about his kids and granddaughter and share his faith with others. “I highly recommend Tiger as a great company to work for, as I truly think they care for their employees,” Lucas emphasized. “I’m happy to be here with Tiger.”
