Angie Jackson

Market Coach | The Market at Preston

If the food doesn’t taste right to me, then it won’t taste right to my customers.

You’ve most definitely seen her smiling face when you walk into The Market at Preston, as you head to grab a delicious breakfast item from the hot case. She takes pride in her work and has immense care for her customers, “If the food doesn’t taste right to me, then it won’t taste right to my customers.”

Angie Jackson has been with Preston Market for four years now, sidekick to Manager, Jackie Johns. The duo, Jackie, and Angie, have a friendship that dates to their time working at Harris Teeter together. “Jackie knows what she’s doing,” Angie emphatically states. But don’t be fooled, Angie knows what she’s doing too.

With her customer service experience and excellent cooking skills, Angie is now a Market Coach at the Preston Market. Her responsibilities include promoting health and safety guidelines, training new employees, cooking a variety of delicious food, and serving some of the best customer service. She even has an inspiration board, where she writes an encouraging quote to start off each day.

Angie’s passions are for food and making people smile. Once a month, Angie volunteers at the Heritage Center Food Pantry in Nelson County where she cooks a meal for the volunteers at her own expense. For Angie, it’s about what she can do for others to make them feel loved and appreciated.

Nicknamed, ‘Grandma Angel’ by her family, her loved ones are quick to brag about her selflessness and kindness. Her daughter, Tonia, and son, Karon, wrote regarding their hardworking mother, “She has the most generous heart and will do anything in her power to help others. Anyone who has worked with her will find that she is easy to talk to and will always have a smile on her face.”

Thank you, Angie, for your dedication to your customers and your commitment to taking the Tiger Way service to a whole new level!
